Event Technology Manager
Xpodigital (www.xpodigital.com) is a rapidly growing Internet services and digital signage company looking for a standout Event Technology Manager, with demonstrated sales success, event or conference services and customer service background along with at least an Associate’s degree. AV or IT technical sales, 3+ years in hospitality and a Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
Primary business operations are based in Orlando, Florida, and eligible candidates must be currently residing in, or able to quickly relocate to, the metro Orlando area.
Here are a few activities you can expect to work on once you’ve gained competency in Xpodigital’s suite of products and technology (we value quick studies):
Cultivate business to drive temporary Internet services for events.
Utilize existing relationships and cultivate new relationships with production, technology, venues along with event planning organizations.
Build and maintain strong, lasting relationships as trusted advisor for specialized Internet needs.
Cultivate leads through detailed research; client, professional and personal referrals; and targeted cold calls.
Attend all client events as onsite Client Relations Liaison from prior to event start date through move out. (Typical Show Duration 5-10 days). At least 25% Travel is required.
Receive and answer all calls and emails which come through the Xpodigital website and voicemails. Qualify the leads and refer them to Director of Event Technology (DET).
Identify, qualify and schedule introduction calls with the (DET) for prospective event customers through research, networking, cold-calling, and in-person meetings, including general contractors for new show floor business. Meetings that are scheduled by the CRM and convert to a sale, will be considered a referral.
Quickly develop and demonstrate detailed product knowledge to maximize sales opportunities and results.
Maintain current knowledge of new products, procedures, services, and tools by attending departmental and training meetings.
Work with DET to develop detailed, accurate proposals, negotiate contracts and close agreements to meet customer needs and maximize profits.
Work with DET to conduct effective and engaging sales presentations, including product demonstrations, tailored to each specific audience, including operational, technical and executive staff.
Work with DET for a smooth transition of the customer from contract to project management.
Work closely with Operations/Project Management for the seamless client transition from sales to fulfillment.
Maintain Podio database with Project Managers and Engineers for each event.
Attend pre-and post- meetings for all road events, both on-site and conference calls.
Work with DET and Accounting to create and issue invoices for deposits and final payment. Ensure payments are received per the terms of the contract.
Attend conferences and trade shows, where applicable, to obtain qualified business leads and develop effective business networks.
In addition to travel, to best serve our customers, there may be the occasional need to work outside of standard business hours.
Maintain professionalism, diplomacy, sensitivity, and tact to portray the Company in a positive manner.

You must be able to demonstrate a proven knowledge of basic IT networks and network hardware, have strong presentation skills and use of presentation software (PPT, Key), Excellent written and verbal communication skills along with an unrelenting customer service focus.
